Semiological Response Triad

The Semiological Response Triad represents a given emotional response to a sign, art, or other form of stimulus in the environment. Something that gets our attention because it triggers a memory, or causes us to response autonomically, or with an involuntary response such as our gagging reflex, yawning reflex, or other aversion.

People suffering from phobias usually can reduce the affect by repeated exposure to the source of their anxiety.

With art, repeated exposure becomes boring if the artist relies mostly on novelty. Although Abstract Art has a distinct history of development in Novelty, a true artist is measured by his or her capability in developing Realism and emotional appeal through nostalgia,
